Leonard 의 직장을 구경 중인 Leonard 의 엄마 Beverly.

Leonard 를 고통받게 하기 위해 Howard 는 일부러 Leonard 에게 민감한 소재를 꺼내 Beverly 와 대화한다.

덕분에 제대로 스트레스를 받는 Leonard.

Leonard 는 Howard 에게 복수하기 위해 마찬가지로 Howard 에게 민감한 소재를 꺼낸다.

[Beverly]

"So where were we?"

"그래서 우리 어디까지 얘기했지?"

[Leonard]

"Howard lives with his mother and Raj can't speak to women unless he's drunk. Go."

"Howard 는 아직도 엄마랑 살고 Raj 는 취하지 않는 이상 여자와 대화를 못해요."

[Beverly]

"That's fascinating. Selective mutism is quite rare."

"흥미롭구나. 선택적 함구증은 드물거든."

"On the other hand, an adult Jewish male living with his mother is so common it borders on sociological cliche."

"반면에 유대인 성인 남성이 그의 엄마와 사는 것은 너무 흔해서 사회적인 클리셰나 다름없지."

[Howard]

"It's just temporary. I pay rent."

"임시적인 거에요. 월세도 내고 있고요."

[Leonard]

"He lives in the same room where his bassinet was."

"그는 그가 아기 때 쓰던 방에서 아직도 살고 있어요."

[Beverly]

"You know. both selective mutism and an inability to separate from one's mother can stem from a pathological fear of women."

"그거 아니? 선택적 함구증과 엄마에게서 분리되지 못하는 무능함은 모두 여자에 대한 병적인 두려움에 기인해."

"It might explain why the two of you have created an ersatz homosexual marriage to satisfy your need for intimacy."

"그래서 너네 둘이 부족한 친밀함을 만족시키고자 동성애 결혼에 가까운 관계를 만들었는 거 같구나."

[Howard]

"Say what?"

"뭐라고요?"
